Three Michigan cities have been ranked among the best cities for small businesses, according to a report by Verizon Business.
Southfield topped the list at #4, Rochester Hills came in #8 and Novi at #36.
Verizon used data from the U.S. Census and financial overviews from cities across the country to compile the list.
Researchers based their rankings off these six metrics:
Education levels of local workforce
In-city commute times
Income per capita
Broadband access
Availability of SBA loans
Tax friendliness
